One Last Time
Another successful trip to the beach. I’m glad I gained a new appreciation for beaches this year. I don’t like the crowds of the more “mainstream” beaches. Thankfully Fire Island offers a wide variety of beach land. The quietness is what I’ve always dreamed of. I can’t wait for summer of ‘12.

Hurricane Irene
Got bottled water, and a few gallons of water ready to go. Filled up all my bottles with water as well. Got dry and non-perishable foods on hand. My Kindle, phone, iPod and 3DS are charged. Called out of work for tomorrow and it looks like Sunday I’ll be off as well at this point.
Better safe than sorry.

Looking back.
The beach was an interesting experience. The amount of guys did outnumber the women but still, it isn’t about gawking and staring at other people. It’s about experiencing something different. I was not expecting to see such diversity. It was awkward the first few minutes but you forget all about it. At least now I get to say I have done it.
New Experiences
I like trying out a lot of new things. There are certain things in life I will never do because I am not curious to ever find out how it feels. Tomorrow will not be one of those days. I will be crossing off something from my bucket list: going to a clothing optional beach. I have the option of being nude… let’s see how it goes!
